Get A Drip founder to open £1.5m preventive health clinic in London
Ohas will open in Westbourne Grove in January 2027, with a £295 health scan that includes a 54-marker blood test and a liver scan.
Ohas, a new preventive health company, plans to open a £1.5 million clinic in Westbourne Grove, west London, in January 2027. It announced the launch in a press release on 23 October and has opened a waiting list.
The chief executive is Richard Chambers, founder of the IV drip chain Get A Drip. The chief medical officer is Dr Luke Pratsides, an NHS GP and former head of medical at Numan.
What it offers
The main product is the Ohas Health Scan, priced at £295 excluding any treatment plan. The 30-minute appointment includes:
- a medical history
- a blood test covering 54 markers
- vital signs and physical measurements, including grip strength
- a 3D body scan and body composition analysis, including visceral fat
- a FibroScan liver scan for fatty liver disease
Results are discussed at a second in-person appointment, which may lead to a treatment plan or a retest. Treatment focuses on cardiovascular, metabolic and nutritional health.
The release does not say who funded the clinic or give prices for treatment plans.
The bigger picture
Preventive health checks are a crowded part of the London private market, from home blood-test kits to premium assessments costing well over £1,000. Ohas is pitching in between: an in-person assessment for a few hundred pounds, with doctor-led follow-up.
Analysis: what it means for your clinic
For private GPs and health-check providers in London, this is another well-backed competitor. Its founders come from consumer health brands, so expect strong online marketing.
The £295 scan is the entry point. The business will depend on how many patients go on to paid treatment plans and repeat tests. Clinics that offer health checks should look at their own follow-up: a result with no clear next step is a missed opportunity, for the patient and the clinic.
For clinics outside London, the model is worth watching. If it works, expect similar preventive clinics in other affluent cities.
What to watch next
- The January opening, and the price of treatment plans.
